Hi, my name is Rory and I collect vintage print ads.

I got started collecting after stumbling across some interesting ads in an antique shop.

By day I am a sales & marketing executive. I was captivated by the subtle humor, design and sometimes hidden themes in the ads.

A lot of the more famous brands and illustrations circulate, but most ads have never been seen by modern eyes.

Its my mission to find and associate all of the unique ads I can find and allow other collectors and enthusiasts to find their own copies.

The Collection

My ad collection is made up of vintage print ads from magazines and serials before the year 2000.

The Process

I search for the source material at estate/garage sales, online, and at thrift and antique stores.

Magazines were one of the most commonly produced items and they can still be found everywhere!

Once I have found a new issue of a publication, I add it to the collection.

Over time, I am reviewing each issue and cataloging the ads within it. This takes a long time and I think I can spend an entire lifetime finding all of the ads.

Once I have a set of interesting ads I have found, I document them into galleries to share the unique understanding and associations I’ve discovered.
